ISA starts day old layer chick distribution in Spain and Portugal

ISA has announced the establishment of ISA Iberia, to better serve the European market with day old layer chicks.

ISA Iberia is a 100% subsidiary of Hendrix Genetics, and shall have its premises in La Coruña, Spain. ISA Iberia’s commercial team consists of Juan Carlos Martinez and Joel Estevinho.

The company will initially source ISA Brown and Dekalb White day old layers from the ISA-owned Saint Marcellin hatchery in France. This modern 10 million chick capacity hatchery is located close to the Spanish border and will be fully dedicated to the Spanish and Portuguese markets. ISA will further develop its Iberian production infrastructure in order to gain + 50% market share for its products.

ISA Iberia is part of the downstream activities that ISA is developing in Europe together with SFPA in France, Joice and Hill in the UK and Integra in the Czech Republic. ISA will further develop its European distribution structure to establish a European network of hatcheries (both as company owned and as independent franchisers) that can serve all European clients with any quantity first class quality day old chicks.
