Aviagen Broiler Breeding Group appoints new CEO

Jan K. Henriksen will join Aviagen Broiler Breeding Group as new CEO, with effect of January 1st 2014.

Henriksen brings with him more than 20 years of experience in global agri-business. Currently, the Dane is CEO of Landmännen Unibake, the international bakery division of Landmännen Group. Prior to that he was CEO of Landmännen Kronfogel Group, one of the leading broiler integrations in Northern Europe. During this time he worked closely with Aviagen and is therefore very familiar with the needs and requirements of the broiler industry.

Dirk Wesjohann, chairman of Aviagen Group, comments: “We are pleased to have Jan Henriksen on board as new CEO of the Aviagen Broiler Breeding Group. With his broad experience in the successful management of international agricultural and poultry businesses he is the ideal person to continue the successful development that Aviagen has experienced over the years.”

Randall Ennis, current CEO of the Aviagen Broiler Breeding Group, has been appointed Director Global Business Development for EW GROUP with effect of January 1st 2014. In this role he will report directly to the owners of EW GROUP, a German family-owned holding company with more than 80 subsidiaries in over 30 countries, and will be responsible for a number of important expansion projects for the wider Group.
