New hatchery built in the Netherlands

Verbeek’s Hatchery will build a new layer hatchery in Zeewolde, replacing the current one in Lunteren, and will have a capacity of 30 mln female chicks per year.

The construction as such will have the possibility to expand toward 40 mln female chicks.
Due to the continuous growth, the current hatchery has become too small. The new hatchery will be built on a 2,5 hectare piece of land and arranged with the most modern scientific insights. There are no poultry farms in the direct surrounding.
It is expected that the hatchery will be ready at the end of 2009.
