Air Phaser to reduce air-borne pollutants

27-03-2009 | | |

Air borne volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) can be destroyed using only electricity in a new treatment system, announces Air Phaser Environmental.

Based on “Non Thermal Plasma” (NTP) technology, Air Phaser is designed to oxidise and/or reduce air-borne pollutants, typically classified as Volitile Organic Compounds that need to be transformed to environmentally benign forms. These VOC’s are often odorous and are typically emitted by large-scale industries, such as poultry or other livestock operations.

Air Phaser’s technology transforms these VOC’s to safe, non-hazardous and non-odorous compounds and it does this using only electricity.

The system can apparently treat air volumes from 50 to over 1,000,000 cfm using only a modest amount of electricity. The system is fault tolerant, since units are placed in parallel on larger systems and no single or even multiple unit shutdown’s affect the whole treatment system.
