Royal order prompts Al-Watania poultry price cuts

27-07-2011 | | |

In response to the Royal Order to increase fodder subsidies by 50% to reduce meat and poultry prices, Sulaiman Abdul Aziz Al-Rajhi, Chairman of Al-Watania Poultry’s Board of Directors, has given orders to use the entire subsidy amount to reduce prices of Al-Watania Poultry’s products.

“Because Al-Watania Poultry recognises its sense of duty toward citizens and their causes, it has decided to reduce the price of its products,” Al-Rajhi said, commending the Royal Order.

“Businessmen and merchants should be responsive to citizens, he added. “This country has given us a lot and it is time to give back,” he said.

In his order issued last week, King Abdullah thanked honest businessmen and also voiced the government’s determination to deal with exploitative merchants.
