Poultry production in Germany for the first half of the year reached a new record, increasing by 1.8%, or 12,700 tonnes.
The poultry meat production reached a new high in the first half of 2012 with a total of 713,000 tonnes. This is an increase of 12,700 tonnes, or 1.8%, over the same period last year.
Increased broilers production accounts for most of the general increased production: 432,000 tonnes were produced, 17,500 tonnes more (4.2%) than for the same period last year.
