Cobb: New appointment in Mexico and Central America

Leonel Mejía has joined Cobb-Vantress to augment the company’s technical service team covering Mexico, Guatemala and Panama.

Dr Mejía has been working as a scientist with DSM Nutritional Products over the past two years, having a technical role across the business and supporting key poultry accounts in Mississippi and Alabama.

After obtaining a BS degree at Zamorano, Honduras, he continued his studies in the United States and achieved an MS in animal sciences at the University of Illinois and then a PhD majoring on poultry science at Mississippi State University where he also managed all research experiments involving poultry nutrition and management.

“Leonel with his high-level expertise in poultry nutrition is a great addition to our technical service team,” said Ken Semon, director of technical service for North America.  “With the rapidly growing market for Cobb products in Central America, we are continuing to respond to our customers’ needs for additional technical service.  Cobb has a total of 13 technical service personnel serving in just the North America region alone.”
