Salmonella profile of chicken flocks in Turkey

Salmonella organisms are causing major bacterial problems in chicken producing companies in Turkey. Problems related to salmonellae represent vast variations, from clinical disease in the flocks to embryonal mortalities in the hatcheries. Reducing the prevalence of Salmonella in poultry flocks will actually not only decrease the Salmonella related-problems in poultry companies, but will probably drop the rate of food-borne salmonellosis in humans.
