Newcastle disease revisited

The attention of the world’s poultry producers has been dominated by avian influenza during the past five years, obscuring the significance of Newcastle disease (NCD) as a widespread and economically significant infection. NCD can be present clinically in a number of forms, generally classified as velogenic viscerotropic, moderately pathogenic with respiratory signs or a mild respiratory condition.
