Update: Offer made for Davis Poultry

03-10-2007 | |

Chicken and hen meat wholesaler, Davis Poultry, recently moved into liquidation. Now, liquidators for the company say five parties are interested in buying the business.

If liquidated, 100 people from Davies Poultry would lose their jobs.
Apparently more than $3 million is owed to the businesses’ unsecured creditors. Earlier reports, however, suggested the figure is closer to $13 million.
Liquidators Brooke Bird and Co say there has been one formal offer to buy the business, and four other parties are showing interest.
