Bangkok Ranch and Tomassen Duck-To join

Bangkok Ranch in Thailand and Tomassen Duck-To in the Netherlands have decided to merge. The merged company, which will operate as Tomassen-Bangkok Ranch in Europe, will become one of the world wide leading companies in duck business.

Bangkok Ranch is one of the largest duck producers in the world outside China and a leading supplier of cooked duck to Europe.

Tomassen Duck-To is a major player in the European table duck market with state of the art processing. It is still a private company.

Both companies have a long tradition of providing the highest quality service to their respective customers.

The merged company aims to provide a broader range of products to customers and to extend distribution to new markets, as well as enhance product development.

The management in Thailand and the Netherlands will remain unchanged and no changes are planned for the current workforce; customers will continue to be serviced by the existing sales team.

Bangkok Ranch remains public company
Alongside existing shareholders, the shareholders of Tomassen Duck-To will become significant shareholders in Bangkok Ranch, which will remain a public company in Thailand.

The company will remain named Bangkok Ranch; in Europe, sales and operations will continue under the name Tomassen-Bangkok Ranch.

The transaction is expected to finalise at the end of July, but the companies will start working together immediately.

The merger will bring Tomassen and Bangkok Ranch closer to the aim of together being the leading duck company in the world.
