Nineteen workers were hospitalized as a result of a
salmonellosis outbreak at a Chicken Kingdom poultry farm in Lipetsk,
Russia.
According to preliminary reports, workers who worked in shifts for the
reconstruction of a building of the poultry farm got infected after they had had
a diner at the canteen.
Federal Service for Supervision of Consumers Protection and Welfare
officials conducted an inspection, which showed that several workers of the
canteen had expired medical records, and that the cooking was made with
violation of the sanitary norms.
It was assured, however, that no traces of the infection were exposed in
the Chicken Kingdom produce.
