Fort Dodge Animal Health, which is a division of Wyeth
has announced that it has acquired three new poultry vaccines.
The vaccines are: F Vax-MG in the US, Avimune IB98 in the US and
Cholervac-PM-1 in the US and Canada - from Schering-Plough Animal Health Corp.
and Intervet Inc.
F Vax-MG is a live Mycoplasma gallisepticum vaccine for the prevention of MG
infection in commercial pullets.
Avimune IB98 is a live infectious bronchitis, Georgia type vaccine, which is
administered to chickens at one-day old to protect against infectious bronchitis
(Georgia type).
Finally, Cholervac-PM-1 is a live Pasterurella multocida vaccine to prevent
against fowl cholera in breeder replacement chickens between 10 and 12 weeks of
age.
The products are already available on the market.
