Dutch poultry sector to screen Campylobacter

24-06-2008 | |

In 2008 and 2009, the Dutch broiler sector will be screened for the bacteria Campylobacter. The Dutch poultry processing cooperation (Nepluvi) will carry out this inspection.

The goal of the screening is to find out if the prevalence is a potential threat for human health. Three carcasses from three different flocks will be tested each week at all poultry processing units in the Netherlands.
