New facilities for Schothorst Feed Research

Schothorst Feed Research (SFR), independent research institute have presented their 2007 figures. The Dutch institute showed a 20% sales increase last year; mainly coming from international projects.

The positive figures made the shareholders approve to build new facilities. The dairy unit will grow from 140 to 250 animals. Two layer units will be built, which can each house 12,000 free range animals. The pig farm will be extended. These new construction activities are part of a total investment plan of €8.5 million. This will be spread over a 3-year period.
