Dutch poultry farm wins public vote

The broiler farm of the Vloet family in the Dutch town of Wanroij has won the public vote in this year’s Better Feeding Award.

In total, the farm won 15% of the votes. Online films were watched over 100,000 times. Click here to see a film introducing the site (in Dutch).

In addition, the third prize was won by the broiler producing family Van Zeeland from the Dutch town of Gemert. According to the jury, the production site introduces on-farm sustainability in a very innovative way, click here to see the production film (in Dutch).

The contest, organised by Dutch animal nutrition cooperative Cehave Landbouwbelang, was held to offer 28 poultry, dairy and livestock producers the opportunity to show progress in animal feeding.

A jury considered all submissions and was looking for innovative and sustainable enterprises.
