EC wants subsidy money back from Bulgaria

The European Commission (EC) wants to reclaim the €70 mln subsidies that were granted to 80 Bulgarian meat and milk processing companies.

According to the EC, these companies have been involved in fraud. They have been claiming too much money for projects that are being subsidised by the EU, according to a statement from the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture on 31 July.

Initially, more Bulgarian companies were on the fraud list but 15 have been removed from the list after talks with the Bulgarian authorities.

70 million waisted. Learn a lesson when handing money over to these types of countries. Should of invested in a more trustworthy country instead.
Anyway, how did this happen is the big question, who's fault was it. Neglegance springs to mind.
