Halim, founded in 1978, is one of the largest companies in the Korean broiler industry and has recently installed Munters climate control system.

Halim has a complete integration system comprising farming, processing and marketing of their products and operates around 600 broiler farms (each with a capacity of 40,000 to 50,000 birds per flock) and 60 breeding farms.

Munters offered a customised state of the art technology climate control system to improve Halim’s production efficiency and was chosen as supplier.

Ever since the first production of broilers, performance data proved the new farm far significantly outperforms the average farm within the Halim group, containing competitors’ products. The average bird weight has increased by 11% in the Munters plant and the feed conversion ratio (FCR) improved from 1,66 to 1,57. The selling price per bird increased by 32% meaning a significant increase of revenue for Halim. Due to the improved air quality in the building, less money is spent on medicine for the bird population and the production index has risen by 24%.
