Sanderson President keynote at US woman’s conference

Lampkin Butts, President and COO of Sanderson Farms, will be the keynote speaker at the 2010 Women’s Leadership Conference. Sponsored by U.S. Poultry & Egg Association’s Poultry & Egg Institute, it will be held 19-20 August, at the Perdido Beach Hotel, Orange Beach, AL, USA.

The program will focus on techniques that enhance professional development and sharpen and apply leadership and management skills. Butts will discuss A Top Management Perspective of Women in Leadership Roles. He serves on the board of directors of USPOULTRY.

“The conference will provide a valuable learning experience for women in the poultry industry,” said program committee chairperson Robin Robinson, Sanderson Farms, Laurel, MS. “The program will emphasize the development of management skills and abilities vital for career advancement. It will feature an array of topics to inspire women toward expanded leadership and management roles in their companies. Also, this is a great opportunity for women in the industry to interact and learn from each other,” she added.

Among other topics on the agenda are: Seven Habits of Highly Effective Women; Perfecting Your Presentation and Communication Skills; and Achieving Peak Performance.
