Danisco focus on enzyme solutions to reduce feed costs
The rising costs of feed raw materials, particularly vegetable proteins like soybean meal, was the focus for Danisco Animal Nutrition at Eurotier 2012 in Hannover, Germany. Enzyme combinations (Avizyme 1500 series) with effects of protease on protein digestibility, beyond the release of energy by xylanase and amylase, created tremendous interest by feed industry visitors.
Eurotier enabled Danisco Animal Nutrition an opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to its feed industry customers through delivering new and proven solutions. In parallel with the exhibition, Danisco Animal Nutrition hosted a technical seminar that provided the ideal forum for customers and scientists to share the latest knowledge on maintenance of gut health in monogastric animals.
The seminar attracted a large audience that was addressed by an international forum of speakers including Richard Ducatelle from Ghent University, Belgium, who shared their latest research on factors influencing poultry gut health, and Jaap van Milgen from INRA, France on precision feeding for sustainable livestock production.
Speaking at the event, Jose Manuel de la Fuente, regional director, Danisco Animal Nutrition commented, “Eurotier 2012 represents our first event in Europe to exhibit under our new DuPont identity and identify our well-known brands such as Avizyme, Porzyme, Phyzyme XP and Betafin with the prestige of the DuPont name in front of the feed industry.
Our mission was to show the strength of DuPont in Agriculture and market-driven science and to build on our expertise in enzymes, betaine and probiotics, with a pipeline of new solutions, for example Axtra XB, a feed enzyme launched recently in the EU and approved for use in mixed grain diets for all species.”
