GEA holds seminar for added-value poultry production

GEA Food Solutions is to hold a Poultry Seminar at its Technology Center in Bakel (the Netherlands), where participants will be given an update on developments in the poultry market, an overview of the newest applications and demonstrations of the company’s latest marination, defrosting, coating and cooking solutions.

Key themes include increasing yield, extending shelf life and reducing production costs. The free seminar will take place on Wednesday 26 September 2012 in English and on Thursday 27 September 2012 in German. Simultaneous translation in other languages is available on request during the English seminar.

The hands-on event is aimed at R&D and production managers, food technologists and senior management of poultry product producers. GEA’s Technology Center in Bakel is extensively equipped with fully functional production lines, and the seminar includes demonstrations of the recently introduced Evolution Line for injecting boneless and skinless products. In addition, a variety of roasting and cooking applications are on display. Other innovations include new coating techniques such as seeded flour applications for a ‘home-style’ look of formed products. The seminar also features mixing tempura for coated processed chicken products that meet today’s very high customer demands for quality, consistency and yield.
