IEC expects more eggs and rising problems

Uncertainty and hen welfare pressures are widespread throughout the egg industry along with growing retailer power. At the International Egg Commission Annual Conference in Bergen, Norway, 21 of the 42 member countries reported to 250 delegates, including first timers China and Iran. Industry leaders also discussed the threat of UE imports, UK niche markets and Norway’s well-supported agricultural sector.
