Agromars closes giant poultry farm in Ukraine

Agromars, the second largest producer of poultry in Ukraine, closed its “Kurgansky Broiler” poultry farm, which was one of the largest producers of poultry and eggs in the Kharkiv Oblast, in the eastern part of the country,

It is reported that the poultry farm has been in financial trouble for some time now. As of the January 1, 2015 the total number of poultry stock at the farm was 1,453 million heads, but by March 13, Agromars had removed all poultry stock and launched a reorganisation procedure at the farm. Reports say that the poultry farm refused to reorganise, after which Agromars closed it altogether. It’s expected that Kurgansky Broiler will be declared bankrupt in court later on.
