Currently Arief is a production management trainee at Cheil Jedang Feed Indonesia, division of poultry breeding and hatchery in Serang.

Next to that he has a contract farming/partnership in a commercial broiler chicken operation at Cipta Mitra Sejahtera in Bogor.

"Actually, my specific area is poultry breeding and genetics," Arief explains, "but I am very interested to share my thoughts about the development of poultry science and industry in developing countries such as Indonesia."

Integrated Poultry Industry (IPI)

In Indonesia, some poultry industry companies have up-dated their business to the IPI system. This system began in feed manufacturing, poultry breeding and even pharmacy laboratories and has ended up on company farms, poultry partnership businesses, poultry slaughtering and processing of poultry products.
