US v India: US requests WTO dispute settlement panel

Kazakhstan: egg production has dropped in the first quarter of 2011

15 May 2012 - Kazakhstan has produced 780.5 millions eggs in the first quarter of 2012, according to the Kazakhstan Statistics Agency. Egg production was 838.5 million during the same period last year. The difference, 58 million, represents a production decrease of 7% for the first quarter, reported the agency. The number of laying hens during the first quarter declined by 0.4% compare to 2011 levels. One of the main factors for the decreasing of egg production may be tough competition from Russia. Research: Egg shell benefits from calcium source

Bacterial contamination on egg shells

15 May 2012 - A recent publication, based on research conducted in northwestern Spain evaluated the bacterial level on the shells of eggs from hens housed in various production systems.
