Perdigão and Eleva Alimentos to merge 19 Oct 2007

This merger of the two companies will allow them to strengthen their presence and position in the domestic market in various sectors of the food business, particularly in poultry.

With Perdigão ranked second after Sadia, and Eleva fourth, the Brazilian poultry industry is anticipating if there will be a new number one.
