DSM presents innovation - the iCheck Egg 01 Sep 2008
DSM Nutritional Products presents an innovation that
it believes brings added value for all those involved in the poultry
industry.
This innovation is intended for Carophyll® users and aims to assure a
reliable colour for egg-based products.
The use of egg products in foodstuffs is increasing steadily, particularly
in Europe, which can be attributed to the use of egg yolk in products which make
up consumers' every-day purchases, including pasta, mousses, mayonnaise,
biscuits, pastries, etc.
The expertise of Carophyll® Check
DSM's CAROPHYLL® CHECK solution will better serve professionals in the food
industry, says the company. This new concept is based on 3 key points:
1 - Dietary recommendations, for laying hens in order to produce homogenous
eggs of the required colour.
2 - The iCheck® Egg, a kit allowing rapid monitoring of the colour of eggs
and egg products. It is easy to use and gives results in less than 10
minutes.
3 - The Carophyll® range. Identical to natural carotenoids, it contains an
innovative, high quality formulation made from 100% plant-based ingredients that
has been certified according to FAMI.QS. Produced in France, Carophyll® is
manufactured according to the DSM standard, based on four principles: Safety,
Quality, Traceability and Reliability (SQTR).
