Indian poultry farmers assured govt. assistance

//04 Jan 2012
The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, India’s main poultry producing state, N Kiran Kumar Reddy has assured local poultry associations that the state government will extend all possible help, support and incentives to the poultry sector in the State.

A delegation of the poultry sector led by president of the AP Poultry Federation, D Sudhakar and the president of AP Breeders Association, Rami Reddy, called on the Chief Minister at the Camp Office and sought incentives and assistance to the poultry sector.

The minister said that many incentives are being extended by the 12th Finance Commission to the agriculture and allied sectors including the poultry sector and the State Government would be glad to extend the same to the poultry sector.

Power cuts to the industries including poultry sector will be reduced to the maximum extent possible and all steps are being taken in this regard, the minister stated. The chief minister also agreed to positively consider other demands of the Federation like early permission for construction of poultry sheds/units in the villages and give priority for sanctioning the same, treating poultry loans on par with agriculture and exempting poultry land from the purview of conversion of agricultural land to non-agriculture.

It sounds very easy that poultry farmers will get assistance and incentives.This type of statements are there all the time but when you apply for such so called assistance you will know the hurdeles you have to face until if at all you get any assistance.

The govt sounds more, but do nothing to farmers. All the politicians may announce many announcements but not try to implement anything, since the farmers won't fight, they think this is our fate.

Politicians in many countries talk to keep themselves alive until next elections are due.They have to say something to fool the people and the poor farmers.Today India is well developed in the pultry industry all with the hard work of farmers who produce poultry meat to feed more the rich in the country.Politicians should talk less and show actions and not be like NATO(No action talk only)
