Judge rules in favour of Sanderson farms

//08 Jun 2011
The proposed plans to build a poultry processing plant in Nash Country North Carolina by poultry processing company Sanderson Farms looks set to go ahead after court ruling.

North Carolina Superior Court Judge Russell Duke Junior has derailed a lawsuit by 30 Nash and Wilson County residents trying to block Sanderson Farms from setting up that plant.

The judge found no evidence that Nash County violated normal zoning practices in approving the site for Sanderson Farms, as the residents claimed.

It is not yet known if the residents will appeal the judge's ruling.
