The poultry enterprise has already entered into tie-ups with Indian organised
retailers for sale of these eggs in the last one year.
These branded eggs
are rich in Vitamin E and Omega-3 fatty acids, which help check heart problems.
The company has a line up of four branded eggs.
Dr K Ravindran, General
Manager (layer marketing), said the company sold one million branded eggs a
month, contributing about 2% to company's revenues.
The branded eggs had
already been launched in Chennai, Coimbatore and Bangalore markets. Launching
the products in Andhra Pradesh, he said the company would next go to Mumbai, New
Delhi and Kolkata this year.
The company, which registered a turnover of Rs 20,18
million (€303.6m) in 2007-08, has presence in 11 States. It entered into
exclusive agreements with the poultry farmers across the country, offering them
"risk-free" business.
