Paragon commissions further expansion with Pas Reform

//11 Apr 2011
Paragon Group of Bangladesh has commissioned the third and final phase of its current GP Hatchery expansion with Dutch hatchery technology supplier Pas Reform.

Two breeder hatchery expansion projects, due for completion mid 2011, will employ Smart incubation, Hatchery Automation and Climate Control systems from Pas Reform. With a capacity of one million day old chicks per week, these two projects will bring the company’s breeder hatchery production to a total weekly output of 1.5 million.

Paragon Group was the first poultry breeding company in Bangladesh to adopt Pas Reform’s Smart hatchery technologies in 2004, when a new hatchery was commissioned for its Hubbard broiler GP operations. In 2008, the company expanded its broiler GP hatchery, again with Smart systems from Pas Reform, with a second expansion phase completed last year to increase capacity still further.

According to Paragon Group’s MD Mr. Moshiur Rahman, the decision to extend his company’s relationship with Pas Reform was an easy one to make. “The superior quality and performance of [Paragon’s] breeding stock is reflected consistently in weekly customer satisfaction reports”, he says, “We have experienced unprecedented growth, both in our Broiler and Layer GP operations, both of which employ Smart incubation, Hatchery Automation and Climate Control.”

Zahidul Islam, Pas Reform’s agent in Bangladesh, has been a central figure in developing the relationship with Paragon Group and its hatchery operations. “Paragon’s commitment to quality is pivotal to their ethos and to their success,” he says, “It is gratifying to achieve such outstanding results: the company has delivered incredible growth over the past six years – and Pas Reform is committed to helping continue that trend in the future.”
