People: Provimi appoints new technical service manager poultry

Provimi has appointed Koen Uitdehaag as its technical services manager from July 1, 2011.

Currently based at Provimi’s headquarters in Rotterdam, Uitdehaag will spend an increasing amount of his time travelling, mainly in Asia and the Middle East.

Uitdehaag will be responsible for providing Provimi customers with technical support and advice on poultry nutrition. Educated at Wageningen University, he performed feather pecking behavioural trials as part of his studies.

Prior to joining Provimi he was employed by poultry housing supplier Vencomatic for three years as a technical advisor. In this job, he mainly provided technical on-farm support, both national and international, and assisted in company research and development activities.
