Title:
Consumer perception on Egg Quality in Russia
By means of a nationwide
survey in Russia, the criteria by which eggs are evaluated, which colour of yolk
is preferred, what relevance the colour of the yolk has concerning the decision
for buying and what the purchasing behaviour is, were analysed.
In order to
answer these questions, 1,530 personal interviews were carried out in different
supermarkets in several Russian cities in the period of 12-21 November 2007. The
interviews took an average of 10 minutes; a quota system was applied concerning
age and sex of the respondents.
The target
respondents were required to purchase at least 6 eggs per week. 80% women and
20% men were targeted in each age group - 18 – 29 years, 30 – 39
years, 40 – 49 years, 50 – 59
years, 60 years and older. The results are to be presented by Mr Ünal at the
show.
