Arief Fachrudin was born in 1986 in Indonesia. He has a BSc in animal science from the Faculty of Animal Science at the Bogor Agricultural University in Indonesia.

Wiebe van der Sluis was born at a mixed farm in the Netherlands and being the youngest of six children he often had to give a hand in feeding the pigs, poultry and sheep. It is here that his affection for the smaller farm animals is rooted.
Mojtaba Yegani received his DVM degree from faculty of Veterinary Medicine of University of Tehran, Iran.

With a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Madrid Complutense University, Eduardo Carbajo is active in ostrich related activities since 1994. He first worked as a clinical consultant, then a technical adviser to ostrich meat processing plant, and finally as meat quality controller.
Jaime began his writing career in Guatemala, where he worked as an Arts & Culture Editor. After finishing his MSc in the Netherlands, he became the editor for Meat International magazine. He is currently studying to become a veterinarian.
